Filmmakers know that whatever they create within the confines of four walls goes to the world. Chuck Paris believes that this potential to influence is entrusted and that it carries with it a great responsibility to enhance our world. People in every arena and in all walks of life have the ability to influence, but it is the artists, actors, writers, photographers, musicians, directors and producers who should be held to higher accountability because they influence through the enduring power of emotions.
Chuck Paris is not an activist, nor is he political. He is ex-military and a former ten-year veteran police officer. Chuck earned a BA in "Multimedia Approaches to Violence Prevention" and a Master's degree in Leadership/Terrorism & Homeland Defense. He is a member of AFTRA/SAG (American Federation of Television & Radio Artists and Screen Actors Guild).
Chuck is a member of the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation and the International Association for Counterterrorism & Security Professionals. He is a certified Leadership Coach and trains leaders for on-camera/media presentation skills and critical incidents. Chuck trains actors in conflict/drama for work in TV/film and for police, public safety and counterterrorism trainings. He is also a technical advisor on police procedures for filmmakers and actors. For additional information, see Services.
Chuck initiated "No Jurisdictional Boundaries, LLC" to Advance Leadership & Honor Courage. When the needs of the world know no limits, leaders know no boundaries. Chuck created Courage Awards to recognize the risks, sacrifices and contributions of those who lead and inspire through their example. He had the opportunity to present an award to Mildred Muhammad, former wife of the "DC Sniper" for founding an organization to prevent domestic violence.
As a producer, Chuck engages people and passions on projects that promote humanity. His current film project, also "No Jurisdictional Boundaries," concerns a home-grown terrorist attack in Washington, DC. It is about courage and leadership when it is needed most and focuses on fatherhood, family and faith in times of fear.
